I'm planning to upload Hitchcock's 'Saboteur (1942)' and 'The Lady Vanishes (1938)'. I've checked the US Copyright Database and they're not listed. However, they aren't mentioned in Wikipedia's list or at pdmdb - and it is Hitchcock...

If anyone knows if these movies are still copyrighted, please post!

The Lady Vanishes - Possibly. A lot of Hitchcock's early British stuff did slip into the public domain. In particular, you'll find several movies he did for Gaumont Pictures here on the Archive. TLV was produced by Gainsborough Pictures in association with Gaumont.

Saboteur - No. Hitchcock's work in the US is under copyright.

Thanks! I'll upload 'The Lady Vanishes'. The American version of 'Saboteur' is kind of smaltzy anyway.
